Families

This five-star resort is a popular choice with families and has accommodation options ranging from one to three bedrooms. To make your stay easy and comfortable, you can pre-order baby essentials such as bottle warmers, security gates, cots and more plus babysitting can booked on request (charges apply).

The resort’s playground has dedicated instructors from Planeta Junior who entertain young guests aged 4-12 years – it’s a lovely place for children to have fun and make new friends.

Should you choose to eat in the Aroma restaurant, there’s a children’s menu available plus high chairs as well.

Pools & Sports

Monte Santo has six swimming pools – five outdoor including one set aside for children and an indoor heated pool, which seemed to be a huge hit with the smaller children during our recent visit. The main pool forms the hub of the resort and the terraces are spacious with shadier options available.

The multi-use sports court is used for football, basketball and tennis and there is a well-equipped fitness centre, sauna, Jacuzzi and Turkish bath.

Of course, Portugal is well known as a popular choice with golfers and there are an excellent choice of golf courses within easy reach of the resort.

Alma Spa

Alma Spa at the Monte Santo provides a traditional Zen experience with an experienced team on hand to help you to select the best treatment for you.

Enjoy an Indian head massage or relax and indulge in a foot or hand treatment that will leave you feeling amazing. There are a full range of massages, therapies, body treatments and facials that you can choose from to ensure you make the most of your holiday experience and truly pamper yourself.

Local Area

The resort overlooks the fishing village of Carvoeiro. There are beaches and grottoes to visit and explore, two waterparks within easy reach, a local market plus lots of places to eat and enjoy a drink.

When you are ready to head further afield, there are plenty of other nearby resorts to check out including Portimao and Silves where you can enjoy a riverside walk and visit the historic castle.

Dining

Staying at the Monte Santo means you have a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal, whichever accommodation option you choose. So you can cook whatever you want, whenever you want.

If you want to stay close to the resort during your stay, even your groceries can be ordered and delivered right to your door – so convenient!

For when you wish to dine out, the Aroma Restaurant is available and offers an extensive international and Portuguese menu along with a great list of local and international wines and spirits.  The Pool Bar at the resort opens throughout the day for snacks and drinks.
